The Cardano blockchain can generate its own tokens (or ‘assets’), interact with them and also delete them when necessary. The term “Native” indicates that users can interact directly with these custom assets. All this without having to use smart contracts.
In 2020, Cardano creator Charles Hoskinson predicted that the Cardano ecosystem would grow because there would be “hundreds of assets, thousands of dApps, tons of interesting projects, and a lot of uniqueness and utility.” Still, Hoskinson revised the forecast when he pointed out that millions of assets were being created on Cardano when he replied to a critic who claimed the forecast hadn’t come true.
According to recent data from Messari, Cardano records the highest 24-hour adjusted transaction volume. This adjusted transaction volume is a good way to isolate only the most important transactions.
Cardano outperformed leading cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin (BTC) and Litecoin (LTC) in adjusted transaction volumes. The altcoin had 24-hour volume of $9.15 billion. Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson recently shared this line while responding to a critic who had referred to Cardano as “Ghostchain.”
ADA increases by 12%
The ADA price tested lows of USD 0.44 on May 27 before rebounding. At the time of publication, ADA was trading nearly 13% higher than 24 hours ago, at around $0.536. This marked the third consecutive day of positive price action. The recent price increase represents an increase of more than 33%. Relative to this month’s lowest price (about $0.39).
Over the weekend, IOHK shared the latest statistics about the network. Currently, 986 projects build on Cardano, compared to 943 previously. A total of 88 projects have recently been launched on Cardano. The number of NFT projects has increased to 5,727. For the week, there were a total of 3,028 Github connections.
