Laura Shin raises questions about Hoskinson’s PhD
Laura Shin, a journalist who recently published a book called Cryptopians, has discovered some remarkable facts. Her research shows that Charles Hoskinson, the CEO and founder of Cardano, never enrolled in a Ph.D. program. This while he has claimed that in the past.
The Cryptopian book contained important details about the identities of Ethereum’s founders, such as Vitalik Buterin, and Charles Hoskinson.
After reading the book, a Twitter user accuses Laura of putting Charles in a bad light. Hoskinson replied that Laura’s book is a “great work of fiction.” Laura Shin replied with some evidence. This shows that Charles has not been very honest about some of his claims, such as his level of education. Hoskinson said in a recent Twitter post:
“Great fictional work. It’s hard to beat George RR Martin and Tolkien, but we wish her luck.”
Great work of fiction. Tough market to beat George RR Martin and Tolkien, but we wish her well

Hoskinson unmasked
In response to Hoskinson’s post, Shin tweeted that the Cardano founder should talk about his doctoral training. She says the schools are contradicting his statements.
Hey Charles, I gave you and your team ample opportunity to talk to me and you all ghosted me. Why didn’t you take the opportunity to have your perspective included?

Apparently, Shin had contacted several schools that Hoskinson allegedly enrolled in. However, these institutions refuted Hoskinson’s claims.
According to evidence provided by Shin, Hoskinson had claimed on numerous occasions that he completed an undergraduate program in Number Theory, but never completed his Ph.D. program at the University of Colorado Boulder and the Metropolitan State University of Denver. However, information from the schools shows that Hoskinson only enrolled in undergraduate programs, but never graduated.

Community Response
The revelation has sparked mixed reactions from the crypto world. Some users criticize Hoskinson, while others still defend his reputation.
While formal education is not required in the crypto industry, these lies do not put Hoskinson in a good light. Many people are investing in the project primarily based on their belief that the digital currencies will outperform rivals like Ethereum.
This is not the first time Hoskinson has been called up. In 2020 promised Hoskinson Cardano enthusiasts that by July 2021 there would be hundreds of assets on the network, including thousands of decentralized applications (dApps).
More than a year later, there are only a handful of dApps on the network. Many Cardano supporters believe that Hoskinson lied to them in an effort to bring in more people.
