Crypto Massacre: Ethereum Drops, Cardano, Solana and Luna Drop Hard

Red-colored stock markets are pushing bitcoin (BTC) further down, but most altcoins are taking an even harder hit. It shows that many investors currently find cryptocurrencies too risky in these uncertain times. Total market cap is down 4% to $1.29 trillion.

Ethereum is down 5.5%

Ethereum (ETH) has fluctuated between USD 2,000 and USD 2,100 following the crash last week. However, yesterday’s ether lost traction and plummeted to around $1,960 with a dip to $1,940. However, it didn’t stop there and ETH even briefly dipped to $1,910 last night. This morning, ETH was able to recover slightly and appeared to find a hold at $1,950 for a while, but is currently dropping to $1,920 with the price down 5% today.

TRX and BNB hold up better

Of the top 10 largest altcoins (without stablecoins), tron ​​(TRX) is the only one to turn green again. TRX is rising to $0.073 this morning, bringing the price up 0.8%. Binance coin (BNB) made another small bounce this morning, but failed to recapture $300. Nevertheless, with $296, BNB is still ‘only’ 1.8% in the minus.

DOGE, XRP, SHIB, DOT down a lot

However, Dogecoin (DOGE) is already down 6.2% and is currently falling below $0.84. Ripple (XRP) is down 6.4% to USD 0.4. Shiba inu (SHIB) is in the red 7.2%, falling to $0.0000114. Polkadot (DOT) dropped below $10 yesterday and currently stands at $9.5, putting the DOT price down 8.5%.

SOL, ADA, AVAX take heavy blows

Solana (SOL) is currently falling below $50, bringing the price down as much as 9.2% today. Cardano (ADA) is currently down towards $0.5 and is even down 9.4%. Avalanche (AVAX) slid below $30 yesterday and currently stands at $28.2, a whopping 15% drop in the last 24 hours .

Crypto top 100 hardest fallers

The rest of the top 100 looks even bleaker. Monero (XMR), cosmos (ATOM), uniswap (UNI), maker (MKR), chainlink (LINK) and elrond (EGLD) are all down 10% today. For zcash (ZEC), quant (QNT), klaytn (KLAY) and algorand (ALGO), that is already 11%. Synthetix (SNX), zilliqa (ZIL), convex finance (CVX), celo (CELO), apecoin (APE), gala (GALA), fantom (FTM), helium (HNT) and near (NEAR) are 12% in the min.

Thorchain (RUNE), polygon (MATIC), theta (THETA), and sandbox (SAND) drop by 13%. Theta fuel (TFUEL), decentraland (MANA) and graph (GRT) are 14% in the min. Iota (MIOTA) and chiliz (CHZ) pockets at 16%. Waves (WAVES) is in the minus 17% and steps (GMT) 18%.

Again it is both Terra prices that fall the hardest. TerraUSD (UST) is also down 18% and LUNA even 29%.
