Charles Hoskinson “Can’t Confirm Or Deny” Whether He’s The Next Twitter CEO

Among the myriad narratives stemming from the power move is “what does this mean for crypto?”. Because, of course, everything revolves around crypto when you’re portfolio is down bad.</p> <p>Most of that conversation surrounds how Musk, a.k.a. the unofficial but kind of actual CEO of Twitter, <a title="Elon Musk Buys Free Speech; Dogecoin Spikes" href="https://cryptosrus.com/elon-musk-buys-free-speech-dogecoin-spikes/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">will incorporate Dogecoin into the platform</a>. After all, Musk wants Twitter to be something that it isn’t at the moment. However, Charles Hoskinson responded. “Can’t confirm or deny,” Hoskinson said. The response sent shockwaves. Surprisingly, the majority seemed to like the idea of Hoskinson running the social media platform.</p><p>Namely one of my colleagues at CryptosRus said, “He’s not a politically inclined person per se, very rational, savvy, young. Seems fair.”</p><p> Unfortunately, soon after Hoskinson poured water on the speculation. “You guys know I’m just f**king with you right?” the Cardano CEO said.</p> <h2>Twitter’s Future</h2> <p>Sadly, it doesn’t appear that Hoskinson will be taking over the reigns of Twitter. Especially since Elon Musk keeps publicly ignoring his requests, like that time Hoskinson offered Cardano as a green alternative to Bitcoin, or more recently <a title="Charles Hoskinson Tweets Offer At Elon Musk" href="https://cryptosrus.com/charles-hoskinson-tweets-offer-at-elon-musk/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">when Hoskinson offered to build a decentralized Twitter with Musk. </a></p> <p>Musk, who is most definitely a reply guy, would have said something by now if he saw Hoskinson as worthy of vision. It’s unclear exactly what that vision is, but suffice it to say, it’s doubtful Musk wants it to be decentralized. Musk doesn’t appear to be the kind of guy who buys something so he can be hands-off.</p> <p>So, any hopes of decentralizing Twitter seem hopeless.
