WingRiders Open source tools released
Following the successful launch of our DAO Governance Platform and the Dashboard and the completion of the first DAO vote that has now concluded, we are pleased to announce the release of the new open-source repositories, helping to increase our DEX transparency by providing easier access to data. As we mentioned in our last blog about the voting mechanism, transparency and openness are the two guiding principles that have guided the system’s development. We will also review the DEX Blockfrost Adapter, which helps 3rd parties access DEX data.
Riders,
Following the successful launch of our DAO Governance Platform and the Dashboard and the completion of the first DAO vote that has now concluded, we are pleased to announce the release of the new open-source repositories, helping to increase our DEX transparency by providing easier access to data. As we mentioned in our last blog about the voting mechanism, transparency and openness are the two guiding principles that have guided the system’s development. We will also review the DEX Blockfrost Adapter, which helps 3rd parties access DEX data.
Here is a summary of the core principles of the mechanism, so the context of the tools is clear. Any member of the community holding WRT governance tokens should be able to vote and make suggestions for governance. The goal is to minimize any technological obstacles and make it simple for community members of various backgrounds to participate. The same holds true for members who choose to cast a vote, making the process straightforward to use and comprehend.
The repository serves as a foundation for transparency, with anyone with sufficient skills able to run and verify the votes and proposals.
There are some properties that are project-specific during governance processes. These are rules that can be defined:
- Verifying the validity of a proposal (e.g., enough collateral provided, collateral delivered to the correct address).
- Verifying the voting power.
Let’s take a look at the key highlights of each tool. Please note that these tools are still experimental.
Governance Audit Tool
- This tool makes our DAO governance more open because anyone can check and compare on-chain data with the results shown in the WingRiders user interface.
- It is open-source, so it can be used for similar DAO Governance solutions.
- The solution is enabled by the great open-source work of Kupo and Ogmios.
Access the tool here: https://github.com/WingRiders/governance-audit-tool
DEX serializer
- This tool helps translate on-chain WingRiders’ smart contract data to a readable format.
- It also helps the Governance Audit Tool validate the voting power.

DEX Blockfrost Adapter
- This tool increases the transparency of DEX by helping to find relevant on-chain data from blockfrost.
- It enables getting the correct pool stats (and prizes) using blockfrost.
- Third parties could benefit from this in the future by accessing correct and current data about WingRiders DEX pools and farms.
Access the tool here: https://github.com/WingRiders/dex-blockfrost-adapter
By using the Governance Audit Tool and the DEX serializer, the WingRiders DAO Governance system, and in particular the results of all future votes, will remain accurate, true, and transparent because they can be audited by anyone with sufficient skills. Also, by using the DEX Blockfrost Adapter, users can get access to more accurate and up to date data from the DEX.
By releasing these tools, we hope to make the DEX and Governance system more transparent.
