Simon Thompson is a technical project director at IO Global and a professor of Logic and Computation at the University of Kent. Presently, he works with IOG on languages for distributed application development, including Marlowe and Plutus, as well as audit and certification for DApps. He is also a researcher and educator in functional programming, with positions at the Universities of Kent and ELTE Budapest, where he has worked on verification, language design, and refactoring, and has published textbooks on Erlang, Haskell, and type theory.
