Clay Nation is an NFT project comprising 10,000, 1 of 1, characters composed from +/- 100 handcrafted clay traits; it announced its collaboration with Snoop Dogg and Champ Medici to bring iconic clay animations, unlockable music content, and land pitches to the layer-1 blockchain, Cardano.
Previously, the partnership of Clay Nation with Snoop Dogg and Champ Medici was disclosed.
On April 5, Charles Hoskinson, the founder of Cardano and Snoop Dogg, met to discuss Clay Nation and Cardano Ecosystem at Cardano360. The duo also discussed music and NFTs.
Snoop Dogg, the legendary rapper, is an NFT enthusiast and holds NFTs worth millions of dollars. Snoop is also a proud supporter of the trendy NFT project, Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC).
Each Clay Nation NFT is a result of an algorithm that puts together various qualities to generate each unique piece.
In an interesting coincidence, as the Cardano network unlocked a new milestone, the NFT collection by Snoop Dogg is being launched.
Head of ecosystem growth at Cardano, Morgan Schofield, shares that the popular network has now delivered more than four million native tokens across around 50,000 minting policies. The Cardano network’s growth and revival of the NFT industry are being considered the reason behind the surge in the number of minted pieces of non-fungible art and projects.
According to the recent report of Pavia, the first Metaverse project on Cardano, there are now more than 2,000 unique wallet holders or landowners of pavia.io land NFTs. Pavia was officially launched in January as the first Cardano Metaverse. Quite interestingly, the project was named after the 1501 birthplace of Gerolamo (Jerome) Cardano in Italy, Pavia.
Growth Of Cardano Ecosystem
Recently, the Cardano network has experienced immense growth in on-chain activity and the number of projects. As of now, around 900 projects are being developed on Cardano, with NFT marketplaces having 3.6% and a huge chunk of 47.9% representing NFT collections.
At the time of writing, ADA was exchanging hands at $0.9628, down 6.09% in the last 24 hours, as per the data from the CoinMarketCap. It is also ranked the eighth largest cryptocurrency in terms of market capitalization.
