New cross-chain network integration expands gaming opportunities for Cardano blockchain

A new cross-chain network integration has been released by Paima Studios for the Cardano blockchain, enabling gaming-focused users to play on-chain games using ADA tokens. The announcement made on Monday by the layer 2 network eliminates the need for token bridging and supports the migration of games from other networks to Cardano. 

Significantly, this development reduces security risks associated with token transfers, as Paima’s non-custodial network ensures that funds remain in the user’s wallets.

Expanding opportunities for developers and users alike

The integration also allows gaming through the Cardano blockchain, expanding the opportunities for developers to reach new audiences. Game developers on other networks can now migrate their games to Cardano, granting their users access to Cardano-based games without the need to move assets.

This latest feature is part of a series of network improvements and features for the Cardano blockchain that may ultimately add value to ADA tokens. Milkomeda, another layer 2 network, has also recently announced a feature that allows Cardano users to access Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) smart contracts with any ADA wallet.

The Ethereum Virtual Machine serves as a virtual computer where all Ethereum accounts and smart contracts reside, enabling developers to create decentralized applications (dapps). 

The new feature will enable Ethereum application developers to build on Cardano’s network using Solidity without installing new toolkits or learning a new computer language.
