Charles Hoskinson, the CEO of Input Output Global (IOG), who is the creator of Cardano (ADA), has recently stated that the implementation of the Vasil hard fork will play out as scheduled.
Cardano and its smart contracts platform, Plutus, are getting ready to undergo notable enhancements through the much-awaited Vasil hard fork, which is slated to take place on the 29th of June 2022. So, testnet launch should be expected by the end of this month, according to IOG.

As related by the Hoskinson in the recent Cardano mid-month update, the upcoming Vasil Hard Fork is expected to provide a massive performance improvement to the Cardano network. It’s also projected to boost the performance of the blockchain’s smart contracts functionality.

The upcoming Vasil update will introduce four different CIPs: CIP-31 (Reference Inputs), CIP-32 (Inline Datums), CIP-33 (Reference Scripts), and CIP-40 (Collateral Outputs), as shared by IOG.
Cardano Weekly Development Update
In the weekly development update shared by the software firm led by Charles Hoskinson, it’s said that the team is working diligently in preparation for the Vasil Hard Fork event slated for June.
According to the update, work has also started on the UTXO HD integration, which focuses on testing and issuing resolution workflows. The firm stated that eight IOG nodes have been redeployed to the peer-to-peer (p2p) testnet and 51 pre-registered SPOs have been added to assess testnet performance and share feedback.

During the past week, Cardano released a new Daedalus wallet codenamed Daedalus 4.10.0, which is designed to bring improvement to the display of unnamed native tokens and to add support for the Windows development environment. It also fixes a paring issue for Ledger Nano S on Windows.
Moreover, the Hydra development team also deployed version 0.5.0 in the same week.
IOG tweeted, “NEW VIDEO: Cardano360 mid-month update In this video, we bring you the latest on the road to Vasil HF (on track for June 29th), what developers can expect to see once the testnet is released at the end of May & the latest status on network performance.”
