What is the "Cardano animal welfare project in Africa"?
It is a humanitarian project based in Africa where we connect blockchain technology with a real use case!

This project has been close to our hearts for a couple of years now. During our time working and volunteering in Namibia (Windhoek) and Ghana (Accra) in Africa, we always dreamed of developing such a project without having to use a third party NGO for it. Because of that we can take care of the funding and we can also put more money into the project.

For us, it is not only the preservation of wildlife and preventing animal poaching, it is also the sustainable development of the community located in unconnected places of Africa. We believe that by helping the local community develop economically, animal poaching would no longer be necessary for survival. We must work hand in hand with them and involve them in that project. We must provide them with a perspective and a future where they can be proud of. And we have to provide education to enable them in developing their own identity and future to take over the project in the end and maintain it on their own.

Initial Project Goals:

Buy land for the animal sanctuary and build a community centre on the reserve: A place where people can come together and connect with each other.
Build a school and a library: A place where children can educate themselves, develop their own future, and connect with the rest of the world.
Together with the community, continue to develop the Animal Sanctuary: A place where they will actively participate in the conservation and protection of their environment and local wildlife.
