Ethereum co-founder responds to Messari vs Cardano (ADA) controversy

Charles Hoskinson alleged that the Messari team used its partial data to ignore the Cardano (ADA) blockchain network.

Cardano (ADA) is a popular Proof-of-stake (PoS) crypto network known for better stability in executing crypto transactions. Charles Hoskinson launched Cardano in 2017 after leaving the Ethereum project following a conflict of interest with Vitalik Buterin in 2015.

Just a day ago, popular crypto data analytic platform Messari published its Crypto report of this year on multiple cryptocurrencies from the point of economic activity.

A Cardano (ADA) proponent noted that Messari mentioned Bitcoin 178, Ethereum 96, Solana 65, BNB 6, and XRP 3 but ignored Cardano.

Tamara Haasen, the CEO of the Cardano developer firm Input Output Hong Kong Global (IOG), responded to this noticeable ignorance by Messari’s Crypto 2024 report and said that it is true that Messari never positively talked about Cardano but this time Messari CEO should tell the Cardano community that why they played against Cardano community’s feelings.

Ryan Selkis, CEO of Messari responded to this question and said that the report was mainly focused on the economic activity of the top crypto projects and this was the reason the Messari team omitted huge numbers of Crypto projects from the report.

It’s simple math. I find block space to be a commodity product and only covered the top ecosystems by economic activity. I omitted a TON of projects because the only chapter on Layer1s was 15 pages of a ~200 page report.

Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson responded to this whole bad game and indirectly said that Messari used their partial data to ignore the Cardano blockchain.

It is worth it to note that in the last couple of years, Cardano was standing in the top 10 cryptocurrencies, even above Sol coin, and XRP coin.

Hoskinson launched Cardano without taking help from any Venture capitals (VCs) and also never paid money to any crypto media to talk about Cardano (ADA) cryptocurrency but IOG’s innovative development activities play an important role in maintaining the position of Cardano blockchain in the top 10 list.
