Smart Order Router Open Sourced

We are thrilled to announce that we have open-sourced our SORs! We believe that the surefire way to build #Cardano and increase adoption is to open source as many components as possible. One of the key tenets of Cardano is #decentralization, and the same principle applies to Genius Yield. That's why we have made it possible for anyone to participate in matching orders by open sourcing our #SORs. No more centralized batchers. This is the Cardano way.

We will also provide updates in the future. Lets review how an SOR functions. 

1st: SORs are not Batchers. 

SOR are arbitrage bots, they match limit orders together. 

Batchers are ONLY needed for AMM DEXs, they are like the DEX’s mempool. They can reorder orders and even change the price via slippage, because they have centralized & permissioned access to the liquidity pools.

GY will not have Batchers!
At Genius Yield, when placing a limit or market order, there is no price difference or slippage, as we don't use batchers or AMM liquidity pools. You know what you’re going to get before you sign the transaction.

Users know the exact price and how many tokens they will get because the price is set deterministically at order creation. 

In addition: 
- SORs can't change the order price that was set by the user
- SORs make profits only from the bid/ask spreads
- SORs don’t get a cut of the execution fee charged by the DEX 
- SORs are open sourced
