These Alternative Coins Could Beat Bitcoin (BTC) In 2024: Confusing - CMN | Latest Cryptocurrency News Today | Live Crypto Price

These Alternative Coins Could Beat Bitcoin (BTC) in 2024: After about a dozen spot BTC ETFs were approved in the US, PerplexiBitcoin’s start to 2024 has been very outstanding in terms of both price fluctuations and global adoption. The principal cryptocurrency is predicted to have a very successful year, with the fourth halving slated in roughly two months. Some projections include a price tag of up to $150,000, which would mean a three-fold spike from this point.

But some cryptocurrencies also start to move north when Bitcoin does. After consulting ChatGPT, we decided to visit Perplexity, one of its primary competitors, to get a different viewpoint on the top altcoins as reported by an AI chatbot.

AVAX, SOL, ETH, and Other
Six altcoins in particular were highlighted by Perplexity as potentially having a more successful 2024. The biggest, ETH, saw a more muted 83% growth in 2023, making it a quieter year overall. However the AI chatbot said that this might push the native token higher this year because the underlying blockchain is still the most widely used for DeFi, NFTs, and other aspects of the digital asset market.

In addition, several layer 2 networks are attempting to lower transaction costs while increasing speed and the Ethereum ecosystem anticipates additional changes.

Solana (SOL), Avalanche (AVAX), Cardano (ADA), Chainlink (LINK), and Polkadot (DOT) were the next names on the list. SOL had an incredible 2023 and emerged as the best performer among large-cap cryptocurrencies.

As a real competitor to Ethereum, Solana is currently the host of numerous NFT and DeFi projects in addition to popular meme coins. Still, there are a few problems with the network that don’t appear to affect SOL’s cost.

Avalanche, Cardano, and Polkadot are also vying for Ethereum‘s market share, and Chainlink, a decentralized oracle network, has recently entered the expanding RWA space and inked some noteworthy agreements. Its native token just surged to above $20, reaching a multi-year high of its own, which may portend further price hikes.

Perplexity stated, “These altcoins are known for their diverse features, like controlling the DeFi ecosystem, switching to more scalable algorithms, high throughput, quick transaction speeds, and thriving ecosystems of DeFi and NFTs.”
