Welcome to the latest Tech Update on WingRiders DEX. It was an exciting period where we had our 1st Birthday, added new features, new wallets and more farms. What exactly happened? Read all below.
We Turned 1 on Mainnet!
WingRiders DEX Celebrated 1 year live on the Cardano Blockchain.
All milestones on our journey to our first birthday are described in detail in the WingRiders, celebrating one year on mainnet medium article. As a part of the celebration, we prepared 3 gifts for our users.
Wingriders Launchpad Went Live and First token launch concluded
The WingRiders Launchpad UI went live on 6th September 2023. WingRiders Launchpad (WRLP) is an innovative tool and a first on the Cardano ecosystem, enabling projects to introduce new tokens and garner community support and giving them a chance to access tokens of new projects launching on Cardano. This fully automated platform boasts a range of essential features, including non-custodial functionality, smart contract based trustlessness, and decentralization. Users retain complete control over their tokens throughout the launch process, thanks to the self-service nature of WRLP. Projects can present their terms in a transparent and non-alterable way. Moreover, the platform employs smart contracts and minting policies on Cardano for a secure and automated launch experience for all parties.
WRLP emphasises accessibility by offering a permissionless approach, allowing any project to utilize the platform once initial launches prove the baselines for parameters. Security properties of the automated platform include preventing some type of scams through project locked market liquidity and requiring collateral downpayments. Withdrawal for users is available throughout the whole duration and this presents an additional due diligence time window for the whole community to scrutinise the project and initial launch participation. Compliance is also a priority, with the platform catering to various jurisdictions and supporting KYC processes when needed. Projects enjoy flexibility in setting launch parameters, making WRLP a versatile and community-focused tool for token launches within the Cardano ecosystem. Read how to get started here.
The Orcrfax FACT token launch went live as scheduled on 8th September 2023 and after a few unexpected issues were resolved quickly, 604 participants competed for the access to the project. Out of these, 142 participants managed to successfully contribute to the project. While general market trading was preceded with the claiming process that involved several steps, including the setup of the liquidity pool and verification of claim rewards, the overall experience was well-organized, smooth and user-friendly. Overall, the WingRiders Launchpad’s conclusion process was for this Launch a success, providing participants with a straightforward and secure way to access their rewards and participate in the initial market activity on the Orfax token.
In conclusion, the first ever WRLP token launch ended with the Orcfax project raising their max contribution (4,500,000 ADA).
WingRider’s Catalyst Proposal Funded
Great news, the Open-source on-chain DAO governance proposal was funded in the conclusion of voting, receiving 566,900 ADA of funding to empower projects with seamless community governance, enhancing transparency and trust for their projects. Pro Mode of Swap Interface
Back in Q2 the DEX brought trading to the next level, with Pro features added on WingRiders App, so users can benefit from quick access to all essential information and trading tools in one place, save time and effort, access the limit orders more easily, and focus on analyzing the market and making informed trading decisions.

Swap Pro Mode is here
A new feature for swaps called the Pro mode is live, to help traders to streamline their trading activities.

Simple Graphs for all ADA pairs added to swap UI
Hand in hand with the Pro mode, simple graphs were designed and implemented to the regular swap UI, so all users can trade with more token chart information available and make the best decisions.

Light Mode
Trading in the dark is cool, but sometimes we want to turn to the light.
Simply turn it on in the settings, at the top right corner, and you will be able to enjoy the entire app under the new mode.

Open Sourcing of CAB
We’ve open-sourced CAB (the CAB repository), a TypeScript library that helps us build on Cardano, so it can help some other builders on Cardano as well. It supports building and signing transactions, loading wallets, and other common things we stumbled upon when working on our DEX.
Team Riders were Introduced and Named
We voted on, and released the entire Rider Team to help across business, security, DAO and community for Communication online.

Improved Stake Pool Voting
The following changes were made to stake pool voting:
The new lowered voting threshold to 15% benefits users by making the governance process more accessible. With a lowered threshold, it’s easier for users to have their voices heard and influence decisions about the platform’s direction. Users who may not have previously met the higher threshold can now participate in voting, promoting inclusivity.
Sorting on the Farms Page
Users can sort all active farms by the next epoch rewards. These enhancements culminate in an improved user experience, combining convenience with transparency and efficiency. Through the introduction of sorting options on the Farms page, users can swiftly pinpoint the most profitable and relevant farming opportunities that align with their investment objectives, simplifying the process of engagement. Furthermore, the transparency offered by sorting based on next epoch rewards empowers users with valuable insights into potential returns, facilitating well-informed asset allocation decisions and streamlining the identification of high-yield opportunities. This user-centric approach not only saves users time and effort but also underscores the platform’s commitment to enhancing the overall quality of its services.
Swap Page Performance Optimization
The optimization of fetching user interactions and pool data led to notable performance improvements, resulting in a shorter response time, faster wallet connection, and quicker loading of the swap page (both regular and pro mode), offering users a more efficient and responsive experience within the WingRiders Launchpad (WRLP) ecosystem.
Boosting Improvements
Boosting improvements have been made based on community feedback, resulting in significant benefits for users. The APR structure has been carefully adjusted, reducing the amount of WRT users needed to lock in the Boosting Vault compared to previous requirements. Additionally, the base APR has been raised prior to boosting, enhancing the overall attractiveness of participating in boosting activities.
