Charles Hoskinson: Tesla should adopt Cardano as it’s much better than Bitcoin

Charles Hoskinson, the founder of Cardano, recently discussed the merits of his proof-of-stake blockchain platform Cardano in an interview with Lex Fridman, a Youtuber and AI Scientist.

According to Charles Hoskinson, the native cryptocurrency ADA is one of the greenest and most eco-friendly digital assets. He also believes that Elon Musk’s Tesla (TSLA) should choose ADA if he is concerned about environmental sustainability:

If they truly care about alternative energy, sustainability, carbon reduction, and carbon neutrality, you can’t be in a system where there is no built-in mechanism to constrain the energy consumption.

He further stated that ADA’s rival Bitcoin uses a lot of energy, lacks a lot of other features, and is the least programable of all the cryptocurrencies, and believes that ADA is superior to BTC.

Hoskinson, on the other hand, pointed out that all crypto projects are experiments that conceal their dangers. Even though Cardano has lately had tremendous success, it is not certain that it will achieve its objectives in the future.

DOGE needs massive revamp

Apart from attacking Bitcoin, Hoskinson also criticized Dogecoin, claiming that DOGE needs a massive revamp to survive in the long run as DOGE’s recent rise in value calls for immediate action, meaning immediate fixing.

He even advised on how to do it, once again directing it at Elon Musk, he argued that DOGE needs a system similar to BTC and that a similar structure to Bitcoin’s would allow it to process 10,000 transactions per second. It should be mentioned that this advice was given in direct response to Musk’s question on how to fix and improve DOGE.

Cardano over Ethereum

This is not the first time when Charles Hoskinson elevates Cardano over its rivals. In May, when Mark Cuban, American entrepreneur, tweeted:

Are you, personally, able to use $ADA for anything? If so, what have you used it for? That’s the question I ask about all Crypto. Do you find yourself using it for anything that you find value in?

Charles Hoskinson gave a fantastic response to him by delivering an “elevator pitch” that stated the benefits of Cardano (ADA) over ETH and altcoins. Hoskinson indicated ETH as a “dying monopoly” due to its versatility issues.
