Cardano Wallet Daedalus Now Supports Native Tokens

IOG announced a new update release for the Daedalus wallet.
The update will include native token support.
And will let wallets receive ADA and native tokens at the same time.
The new version will include a countdown clock to fully decentralized processes.

Input Output Global (IOG) announced on Tuesday the release of a new Daedalus crypto wallet. To clarify, the new version comes with updates to simplify the storage and transfer of crypto tokens for users. Most importantly, a feature to support native tokens has been included.

As per the tweet, the update makes Daedalus a multi-asset wallet. The release notes clarify that it allows users to send and receive Cardano (ADA) easily. Moreover, wallets will now be able to receive ADA and other native tokens at the same time, within a single Cardano transaction. This is the most highlighted of their updates, in line with the wallet’s efforts to make token transfer easier.

IOG added that firstly, the Daedalus 4.0.3 will contain a countdown clock. In addition, this will help complete decentralized block production. Secondly, the new wallet will support Trezor devices with passphrases and let users view wallet public keys. It will also include an improved CSV export process among other minor fixes.

Current users will receive a prompt from their newsfeeds to update their Daedalus wallets. New users can download it from the official website.

IOG also pointed out that Daedalus is only supported for Linux, Mac, and Windows PCs. Users cannot download it as an Android or iOS app. “Please use the official Yoroi Wallet if you prefer a browser-based or mobile experience.”, it tweeted.

Earlier, CEO of IOG Charles Hoskinson hinted at many upcoming vital updates for Cardano, mainly since its rise in value in 2021.

Daedalus is a full-node HD wallet for desktops. All of the Cardano blockchain histories are stored in it. It creates a secure and stand-alone process. Notably, it doesn’t rely on any third-party services.
