Cardano team reveals ledger integration would be available for Shelley mainnet

Recently, Cardano transitioned into the Shelley with the launch of its networking testnet. CEO Charles Hoskinson revealed in an AMA session on Reddit that the testnet has been receiving remarkable participation. He also emphasized that the entire crypto-ecosystem needs to be a more decentralized platform. According to Hoskinson, Shelley is a step towards decentralizing the entire network.

The moderator of subreddit r/Cardano in response to a question about whether staking will be available through Yoroi with HW wallets said that the ledger integration takes time, and it wouldn’t be ready before the snapshot. He added that ledger integration should definitely be available for Shelley mainnet.

While talking about the Yoroi on Shelley, the moderator informed that the current flavors of Daedalus and Yoroi would be exclusive to mainnet and eventually Shelley, when it’s upgraded in mainnet. He added that there are going to be new flavors Deadlus and Yoroi exclusive for the Rewards testnet.

The team also explained that the rewards earned by the user in the testnet would not be pulled into the mainnet automatically, and the team has been working on a mechanism to enable users to move their rewards manually.
