Another month, another monthly update!

February brings exciting updates from Cardano Shield as we continue our mission to bolster the security of Cardano wallets. Let's dive into the highlights of this month
 

MVP Release

We're thrilled to announce the release of our Minimum Viable Product (MVP). This milestone marks a significant step forward in our commitment to providing top-notch security within the Cardano ecosystem.

Key Stats

- 198 blacklisted assets, domains & addresses: Our vigilant approach ensures a comprehensive blacklist to safeguard users.

- over 800 unique wallets have used Cardano Shield, showcasing our community's growing trust and adoption.

- 5500 transactions have been securely processed through Cardano Shield, emphasizing its importance in the daily operations of the Cardano community.

Risk Mitigation Success

Our strategy is yielding positive results. Due to scammers avoiding Gero Wallet integration, we've observed fewer high-risk transactions. This underlines the effectiveness of Cardano Shield in deterring malicious activities.

More wallets are using Cardano Shield!

Wallets including Begin Wallet, are now deploying Cardano Shield in their revamped transaction summary screens. This enhancement aims to provide users with a clearer assessment of transaction risk levels, further improving the overall user experience.

Xerberus Integration for Enhanced Security

Exciting news! We're integrating Xerberus for wallet-to-wallet transactions. This integration enhances the address risk score, offering an extra layer of protection when interacting with potential scammers.

Use Cases

- Clipboard Hack Prevention: Cardano Shield analyzes addresses copied to the clipboard, thwarting attempts by hackers to replace them with malicious addresses.

- Founder Fund Tracking: Xerberus tracks wallets previously involved in fraudulent activities, creating a network tree to assess the legitimacy of a transaction destination.

- Scam Token Detection:  We now analyze and tag scam tokens being airdropped, swiftly adding them to our blacklist to shield users from potential risks.

What's Next?

Our backend is primed for larger adoption. Having addressed bugs, we're ready for the next milestone. 

We're reaching out to larger wallets like Yoroi, Nami, Typhon, Flint to expand Cardano Shield's impact across the ecosystem.
