The Cardano Foundation announced Monday that it has doubled the amount offered in its Bug Bounty Program with HackerOne for a limited period.
According to its statement issued, the limited period proposition will run for six weeks from February 14, 2022, until March 25, 2022, in a bid to make its network more secure from bad actors.
For critical and high-risk bugs, the foundation has set the bounty rewards to $20,000 and $10,000, respectively, double the amount previously offered under the Cardano mode. Rewards have also been doubled for medium and low-risk bugs at $4,000 and $800, respectively.
The Cardano Foundation launched its bug bounty program in August last year in partnership with HackerOne, a bug bounty platform that gives organizations access to one of the largest communities of hackers across the globe.
Many companies and organizations, including The US Department of Defense, Dropbox, General Motors, GitHub, Goldman Sachs, Google, and PayPal, have leveraged the HackerOne platform and community to make their products and services more secure.
