Dan Gambardello shared: After all the refinement Cardano has achieved so far, imagine Basho and Voltaire eventually being complete. Cardano will be the most decentralized, secure, and scalable blockchain in crypto. ADA
Community Response: Agree with you mostly. Decentralized, maybe not.
Drums please. 2 more sleeps till ADAX DEX launch. Are you excited or what?! The community is waiting impatiently and so are we as this is going to be THE BEST thing that happen this year to the Cardano ecosystem.
This meant to be the future of finance. Yet you can lose 7000 ADA. Everything you have by not writing down some words. Seems rather odd to me you can lose your bank card, phone, or laptop but you could still access your accounts
Is it the government’s fault if you give out your social security number? No? It’s not a cryptocurrency’s fault if you lose or forget your passphrase. The pledge of allegiance is 31 words you can remember 24 or 12.
Sundae swap and card starter still docking?
I am a Cardano maxi, but Cardano isn’t decentralized anymore due to multi-pools. We need to solve this problem ASAP.
It’s still up to the delegators to choose what pool so that doesn’t make it less decentralized.
Ethereum miners choose what pool they mine too, bitcoin miners choose what pool to mine too. By your logic, there’s no issue with bitcoin or ethereums either.
The problem is that 21 people control over 50% of Cardano’s network. This is not the decentralization Cardano was going for. As long as you guys with huge influence are doing exactly the opposite of Decentralization with your pool setups, don’t expect much. You should be prototypes if you care about Cardano’s network.
Voltaire is not the end of the road. It’s an ever-evolving journey. Some might say Voltaire is an open fork in the world of countless possibilities.
How cute Dan is still shilling ADA, how cute here we are and ADA is down 43.5% and flirting with going under $1 again. Without a burn plan in play, you might have to take some classes in market cap 101 to justify a $5 ADA.
So you’re saying the fact that crypto is gaining more media attention/adoption, that we’re still relatively early and have untapped markets, with less than 4% of the global population currently invested in it, doesn’t justify a potential $5+ ada long-term? That’s cute.
I don’t know mate. Let’s develop a white paper, send it to the review machine, and have the answer 4 years from now. Some people are great starters and others great finishers. Charles is a great starter. He enjoys the white paper shuffle.
That’s Fire! Hey Dan, I have been hearing a lot about Hex, is this a scam? It sounds way too good to be true. Just wondering how the ADA Community and you feel about it.
Biggest Ponzi scheme ever. Stay away.
Lol 21 entities control 50%, decentralized it is not.
They don’t control it since delegators aren’t locked. But yeah it’s not perfect.
We get it… the Sundae thing has everyone piling into a smaller number of pools. Blah blah. They’ll all move back when it’s all over in a couple more Epochs. It means what we think it means, and we think it means Cardano.
This was brewing before Sundae. It will still be an issue after Sundae.
You do you. I’ll prefer optimism. The pool I staked with for a year was 45% before Sundae put it on a list. It went to 110% in 2 days. This, like all other problems that involve good projects and good people, will work itself out.
