NFTs (non-fungible tokens) are all the rage at the moment with users expressing huge interest in gaining ownership over unique digital items like artworks through blockchain technology.
As the digital space continues to evolve rapidly, many companies, art galleries, celebrities, and artists are starting to learn about how to digitize their proprietary art pieces and other items via blockchain and post them in online marketplaces.
This has been specially true for the Cardano blockchain, as the lower minting fees and the native assets standard means NFTs can be created and traded more cheaply.
There are more than 70,000 NFTs that have been minted on the Cardano blockchain and that number is only increasing.

Everyday, new NFT projects are launched on Cardano with a user market that’s growing exponentially in addition to the already large global community of Cardano ADA users.
Up until recently, the Cardano ecosystem lacked a convenient way for an owner to track and display their NFTs.
EMURGO, as one of the founding entities of Cardano and a partner to the Ergo platform, assists Cardano’s ecosystem by continuously improving Yoroi Wallet.
Now, Yoroi Wallet is addressing Cardano’s booming NFT space with an NFT Gallery.
Yoroi Wallet: The NFT Gallery
At the recent Cardano Summit 2021, EMURGO’s Head of Product for Yoroi, Sergio Sanchez Ferreros, gave a talk entitled “What’s in store for Yoroi users?” discussing Yoroi’s roadmap in the short and medium run, including the much-anticipated NFT gallery.

Developed by EMURGO for Cardano ADA and Ergo ERG users, Yoroi Wallet’s Version 4.7.300 release for browsers has launched the first version of the NFT gallery.
Now, desktop users can see their NFTs listed in the “Assets” tab in Yoroi Wallet’s interface.
Here, the NFTs are shown in chronological order with their Transaction ID.
Now, all NFTs owned by a person can be easily accessed via this functionality.
In the future, this feature will evolve even more.

From Yoroi, users will see the associated image of the NFT, the metadata, and will be able to display their favorites in their wallet.
NFTs have grown immensely in the Cardano network in response to community demand.
Developers and users from across the market have recognized the native assets standard as a better way to do things.
The cheaper minting and trading costs of this technology are truly setting the Cardano network apart from the competition.
