Wingriders Whitelist extended by 48hrs

After intense discussions and feedback we have decided to extend the Whitelist until Tuesday 23:59 UTC 31st May 2022 to give an opportunity to our community to participate as a lot of new people are facing challenges. To address many of the recurring questions we feel the need for another AMA, which will be held at 14:00 UTC on Monday 30th May, to answer all questions directly and not only via emails. The aim will be to help with any issues you are experiencing. For context it is important to explore the reasons for this decision.

• There has been a very large last-minute surge of interest in people who want to participate and have challenges to orientate themselves in the process. Our primary objective with the Whitelist is to get the WRT token in as many hands as possible, an extension provides that window of opportunity.
• We are also aware that there are lots of questions and technical challenges with the actual process that we still need to respond to many of you.
• You may have noticed the “This account is temporarily restricted” message on our Twitter account. This is one of our main channels of communication with our community, not being functional just before the close of the Whitelist is an issue. All our accounts, including Twitter are protected by multiple security layers, and following our protocol, we decided to temporarily close and reset the security credentials just as an added measure of caution, which we have now done and we are happy that the account is fully protected.

• Finally due to the rush to do the KYC by participants which is great, but unfortunately has created a bottleneck for the team in terms of how quickly they can respond to Whitelist enquiries as they handle the many hundreds of people in the KYC process and their needs.

So hopefully it is clear given the circumstances outlined here why it would be beneficial to extend the Whitelist for an extra 48hrs to give the whole endeavour a little more time to close leaving as few as possible people behind.

Also don’t forget if you are already whitelisted or planning to participate, just make sure to complete the KYC and payment for your allocation before 23:00 UTC on 31/05 so you will be automatically entered into the 10,000 ADA lottery as an extra bonus. For details read here. The KYC process will run longer but this will help to streamline it by not having people mixing who have process challenges and those who are just taking their time :)
