MELD’s community goals and outlooks for 2022

2022 is going to be an amazing year and we are thrilled to kick things off on the right foot! We have some very exciting things coming in this new year and are prepared for our token minting, distribution, and protocol launch come January 31st!

What do you plan on using MELD for?

December 23rd, we partnered with Santa, and ran a Twitter contest, asking the community what they plan on using MELD for. With the best 20 answers receiving a MELD hat and MELD Daruma coin 👇

There were hundreds of amazing responses, not to mention poems 😂, across all our social media channels and it was a joy reading through what the community wants to use MELD for!

We did an analysis of all of the responses given to see what the general consensus was for the plan of action to utilize the MELD protocol.

19% of respondents are interested most in the staking, lending, and borrowing mechanics. 8% are interested in getting away from traditional banking. 4.5% want to provide some sort of crypto or fiat liquidity. 3.5% want to borrow against their crypto to buy a house. 2.4% to help the less fortunate. 2.4% to gain financial freedom. And a plethora of other great ideas.

The 4 main categories people were interested in using MELD for were, Saving, Buying, Helping others, or Personal Reasons. Below are some specific examples of use cases people are interested in 👇

MELD With Us — Twitter Spaces🥳️🎉

Another great way to learn something new, and contribute to a community discussion. As such, we have started a MELD Twitter Space initiative to engage with the MELD community and the greater Cardano ecosystem on a more direct level. There are tons of benefits you can gain from talking directly with the users of the ecosystem, hearing their thoughts and we are going to be bringing on guests and other key players to hear their thoughts on whatever the topic is at hand.

We plan on having weekly Twitter Spaces every Wednesday where we will be discussing topics such as blockchain infrastructure, NFTs, metaverse, and DeFi! So be sure to follow our Twitter and stay tuned for the next announcement!

Ending thoughts…

A lot of responses made here were founded on a desire to secure some sort of stable financial foundation for themselves, their family, their kids, etc. Specifically with themselves leading the way, taking action of their own finances, and figuring out a game plan to achieve that. What is so amazing to see is that MELD is in that game plan of so many and the products and services that we are creating are able to contribute directly to securing such a future!
