Elon Musk Demands Payment Of 3 DOGE For Twitter HQ Visit

Elon Musk replied to a tweet from a DogeCoin graphic designer who requested a visit to Twitter HQ. The company’s CEO demanded a payment of 3 DOGE or 20 cents.

Musk’s tweets about DOGE have affected the price of the cryptocurrency multiple times. Again, Musk’s tweet about Dogecoin impacts its value substantially.

DogeDesigner, a UX/UI & Graphic Designer at Dogecoin & MyDoge Inc., tweeted that he will travel to the United States next month to witness the launch of Space X’s Starship and wouldn’t mind stopping by Twitter’s headquarters in San Francisco.

Musk answered a few hours later and joked that he could visit, but it would cost him three DOGE.

Dogecoin Is On The Rise Again As Elon Musk Tweet

Shortly after the exchange on Twitter, the price of Dogecoin spiked by 7%, but it was quickly reversed. The price of the meme currency is currently $0.077, and its daily trading volume has increased by 6.2% to $735 million.

Elon Musk’s influence on Dogecoin can be ascribed to multiple aspects, including his massive social media following, as millions of people read his tweets daily.

The crypto community pays close attention to his tweets due to his apparent passion for cryptocurrency and blockchain technologies. Last year, he purchased bitcoin (BTC) worth billions of dollars. However, he eventually sold all of his holdings. His repeated statements concerning crypto afforded him some influence in the crypto field.

Prior to Musk’s comments, Dogecoin’s price had already increased. Charles Hoskinson, the CEO and co-founder of Cardano, recently praised the meme coin, which sparked much discussion on Twitter. Coingecko reports that DOGE has increased by 9.2% during the last seven days.
