Charles Hoskinson Severe Ties With the XRP Community

Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson has publicly announced that he is severing all ties with the XRP community. In the last few days, Hoskinson has been the object of ridicule for some members of the XRP community in relation to the ‘conspiracy’ statement he made about Ripple and XRP during an online interview. 

“I think I’ve blocked most of the XRP trolls who continue to harass unprovoked. I’ve never seen a group so radically pick up a few words and run with it. Great job turning an ally into someone disgusted and totally checked out,” his tweet read.

As per referring to himself as an ally, Hoskinson was called out by a follower accusing him of not speaking about the Ripple vs SEC lawsuit which has been ongoing for almost 2 years. 

In response, the famous blockchain developer said, “I did when the lawsuit first happened. I was an ally then and throughout the years at many events. Great that you’ve ignored that. Funny how the community’s super sleuth skills can dig up interviews on command, but not just the ones that run contrary to the narrative.”

Meanwhile, a legendary XRP supporter identified as XRPcryptowolf advised the Cardano chief not to compartmentalize the whole XRP community. XRPcryptowolf noted that this behavior of trolling was just from a selected few and is not enough to judge the whole community. 

Instead, Hoskinson was not having it at all, he emphasized that the ton of endless harassing trolling campaign has been ongoing for days and isn’t just a few trolls. He reiterated the fact that he wants nothing to do with the XRP community, claiming that they had harmed themselves.

Assumingly, this may not be the end of trolling for Charles Hoskinson, at least not after he converted the Ethereum Classic (ETC) Twitter account to that of Ergo Community a few days ago. Hoskinson made headlines less than a week ago when it was discovered that he had automatically moved the over 600,000 followers and 8000 tweets on the ETC Twitter account to the Ergo community.

Since then, both members of the Ergo community and the ETC community have expressed their displeasure with such a move by Hoskinson. Most of them have taken to Twitter to vent their emotions.
