Catalyst Process Improvement Group
About 25 people met at an After Townhall session on Weds 30th, co-facilitated by Mercy (Funded Proposers rep on Catalyst Circle) and Nadia (CAs rep), to start looking into the entire Catalyst process this round. How has it been, end-to-end, for both proposers and CAs; and what can we learn? We started by asking what everyone’s noticed this round – what was good, and what might need to change? – and from there, it developed into a really wide-ranging discussion.
You can see the recording of the session here. Some key points were:
- 🌟 Should there be more education, support and guidance notes for potential proposers?
- 🌟 Should CAs be giving feedback earlier in the process - and what was with all the placeholders this fund?!
- 🌟 Is it OK to apply for 6 months of funding rather than 3?
- 🌟 How many proposals is too many?
We’re collating ideas in a shared Google doc here - open for anyone with ideas, so please come and add to it! And there will be an ongoing conversation on Discord here. Please come and join in if you’ve got things to say. We’d particularly like to hear what Challenge Teams and VCAs are thinking, as there hasn’t been much said yet about that side of the process. |
