Cardashift becomes a sponsor of the Haskell Foundation

Cardashift is thrilled to become a sponsor of the Haskell Foundation. This foundation is an independent, non-profit organization dedicated to broadening the adoption of Haskell, by supporting its ecosystem of tools, libraries, education, and research.

Haskell is at the core of Cardano’s development. Indeed, it’s the functional programming language chosen by IOHK to build this blockchain.

The Cardashift team is in line with the Haskell Foundation’s spirit to build a community of developers sharing the same values of transparency and openness. All the toolchains created by our developers are available in open source and subject to peer review.

This sponsorship is a step ahead in the Cardashift’s ambition to develop its ecosystem on Cardano.

As explained in one of our first articles The 3 reasons why we choose Cardano to maximize our impact, the Cardano blockchain, by its deterministic nature, is the only one to offer the truthfulness and safety we need to bring impact investing in the blockchain’s playground.

Therefore, it’s key for us to foster the training of Haskell developers and to promote this strongly typed purely functional programming language.

It’s worth mentioning this initiative is part of a more global strategy towards education on blockchain technology. The appointment as ambassador of Joshua Akpan, the founder of the African Blockchain Center for Developers, also shows our ambition to bring more qualified people, regardless of their background, towards this powerful tech enabler.
