Yesterday there were rumors that the big one was not going well Vasil update of it Cardano (ADA) network. This update, which will also be a hard fork, is going to make big positive changes to the network, but an ADA developer said the testing process went quite badly. Cardano network founder Charles Hoskinson vehemently denies these rumors.
Vasil in trouble?
Cardano developer Adam Dean came suddenly yesterday in the spotlight when he tweeted that the Cardano testnet where the Vasil update is currently being extensively tested was ‘catastrophic broken’. Admins of stake poolsso-called stake pool operators (SPO), would not have been able to update to the 1.35.2 version of Vasil.
Dean argued that this created several forks of the testnet, all of which were incompatible with each other. Subsequently, a later version of the Vasil hard fork, 1.35.3, was no longer able to sync with the blockchain on the testnet.
In addition, Dean lashed out at the entire testing process. According to him, this process would be hasty, which means that Cardano is actually lucky that an even greater disaster has not already happened.
Charles Hoskinson responds
Of course, it didn’t take long for Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson to make himself heard. He tried to calm people’s minds by indicating that there really isn’t much going on. The Cardano community could choose to postpone the Vasil hard fork, but according to Hoskinson such a decision is completely unnecessary.
According to him, the latest version of Vasil, 1.35.3, has been extensively tested for months and everything just works properly. He also points out that dApp developers have been waiting for Vasil for months at this point and delaying the launch date could do them some serious harm.
We of course could as a community delay the launch of Vasil for a few months to retest code that’s already been tested a dozen times and is already running. Is that worth it to all the DApp developers who have been waiting for this update for almost a year now?

Ultimately, such a decision rests in the hands of the community. He states that the Cardano network is completely decentralized and that therefore he is getting tired of being blamed for everything. Community rules at Cardano, not Charles Hoskinson, the founder said.
