Cardano’s Explosive Growth and Technological Milestones
Input Output Hong Kong (IOHK) recently shared data showing that the Cardano ecosystem has grown significantly. Eight new projects were launched on the blockchain in December and January. Seventeen other projects are currently being worked on. This means 157 projects have been started, and another 1,320 are in the works. Those are steep numbers, even if not every project can be successful.
One of the main reasons Cardano appeals to builders is that it keeps making technological progress. On Cardano, token policies have grown by 13,109, and 480,000 new native tokens have been created.
Creating Plutus scripts, which allow smart contracts to run on the Cardano system, is an important milestone. The number of Plutus V1 scripts increased by 81, hitting 6,332, and the number of Plutus V2 scripts increased by 13,091, reaching 17,718.
Also, Cardano’s infrastructure is getting more robust. Performance is improving, and new functions like integerToByteString and byteStringToInteger bitwise operations will be added in the next version of Plutus, which will come out after the Conway upgrade.
Voltaire’s decentralized government phase is moving forward faster on Cardano’s roadmap, which shows that the project is serious about creating a fully decentralized ecosystem. At the same time, Fund11 voting started as a new phase for Project Catalyst. This shows Cardano’s commitment to community involvement and participation in decision-making processes.
