Cardano Announces an NFT Auction of Digital Music! – Coinpedia – Fintech & Cryptocurreny News Media

While celebrities and athletes have jumped headfirst into the non-fungible token (NFT) market, a substantial number of music artists have also done so. 

According to reports, Cardano and its founder Charles Hoskinson are working on a new album by Paul Oakenfold, one of the most well-known performers in the electronic dance music genre. 

The latter is a well-known trance DJ and British record producer. He has been nominated for three Grammy Awards and twice for World Music Awards.

The project has partnered with the Cardano network’s Starship Universe, according to the Djenerates launch release. At the recent Cardano summit in Laramie, Wyoming, pioneering DJ Paul Oakenfold announced that he will be releasing an NFT record (called “Zombie Lobster”) via the ADA network. 

According to an article published by EDM, Charles Hoskinson, the founder of Cardano and co-founder of Ethereum, is currently working closely with Oakenfield to bring his new album, including cover art, tracks, and sleeve notes, to the Cardano distributed ledger network. Zombie Lobster will be the title of the forthcoming album.

When asked about his role in the publication of the new record, Charles Hoskinson stressed the relevance of blockchain for the music.

ZZ launches NFTs on Cardano!

Frontman Billy Gibbons of the ZZ Top rock band chose the Cardano blockchain to share his newly performed pieces of music in the form of non-fungible tokens. 

The auction for these NFTs took place on the Terra Virtua platform for digital collectibles over the weekend. 

Bids had to be made in currency, and bidders had to pay either in money or in ADA coin, Cardano’s native crypto asset, at the end of the auction.

Billy Gibbons believes that blockchain presents significant prospects for the music and art industries, one of which is the development of new financial tokens (NFTs).
