Cardano Urgently Needs 10 Billion ADA for Security

Rick McCracken, a well-known member of the Cardano community and the Stake Pool Operator (SPO) of Cardano stake pool DIGI, has requested an immediate 10 billion ADA injection to strengthen the platform’s security protections.

McCracken’s plea is significant for Cardano. The core message is about hitting a critical point in Cardano’s security measures and stressing the importance of signing the Mithril deployment.

Mithril is a trustless and distributed system that needs strong security measures. McCracken says that Cardano could be vulnerable to problems like failed certificate creation and fake certificates if it doesn’t stake an extra 10 billion ADA. This could put the integrity of its operations at risk.

In the Mithril protocol, experts stress the importance of carefully balancing between adversarial and honest staking. Assuming an adversarial stake of less than 40%, the chance of critical threats is still low, but more steps need to be taken to reduce their impact.
