Billionaire Mark Cuban Likes Dogecoin Better Than Cardano

Mark Cuban, billionaire and entrepreneur known for the television program Shark Tank, recently joined the Altcoin Daily Podcast. Here he spoke for an hour about the cryptocurrency industry. For example, he spoke about his opinion on projects such as Cardano (ADA) and Dogecoin (DOGE) and which he liked better. This is how he started talking about Cardano:

“You know, my thoughts about Cardano are the same as about Polygon and Ethereum,” Cuban said. “There must be a ‘there’.”

Cardano a future in Africa?

The entrepreneur indicated that Cardano still has few options for use. The company behind Cardano, Input Output Global (IOG), has already announced major announcements and collaborations with companies and governments in African regions.

Cuban said he was skeptical about the potential of these partnerships and how they would relate to Cardano’s transaction volume and other fundamentals. In the podcast he stated:

You have to go to CoinMetrics, you have to go to all these different places and look for transactions. I think the people in Africa don’t use as much as they expected because you don’t see the transactions, you don’t see the costs, you know (…) for me transactions and network activity is the clock of success (…).

Because of this, the TV star thinks that Cardano has not yet had much impact on the crypto industry. He also indicated that Cardano first implemented smart contracts functionalities in 2021, but has not been able to live up to expectations.

Dogecoin better than Cardano

In addition, Cuban also spoke about Dogecoin. He indicated that he believes DOGE has more potential than Cardano. Still, he believes Cardano is better for now. That is until Dogecoin also provides a platform for applications.

Just like Elon Musk, Cuban is a big Dogecoin fan. In this way he tries to ensure that DOGE can be used as a means of payment within his many companies.
