Cardano (ADA) is currently under the spotlight as its price movements mimic historical trends. Crypto analyst Ali has highlighted similarities between ADA’s ongoing correction and a key 2020 event. Bulls are striving to keep ADA above $0.76, a crucial support level.
In a related CNF post about ADA price analysis, it was speculated whether a 38% increase in Total Value Locked (TVL) could drive Cardano to $0.50. Ali Chart also predicted a potential surge to $6 for ADA:
“Cardano ($ADA) is following an eerily similar pattern to its previous cycle. Back in 2020, the first major correction after the bull rally began happened at the very same time as the correction we are experiencing today.”
As of now, according to CoinMarketCap data, Cardano (ADA) is trading at $0.88, reflecting a 1.93% decrease in the past day and an 18.58% drop in the past week.

If the historical pattern repeats, ADA could surge to $6. However, $246 million in liquidations over the weekend have increased pressure on ADA. After briefly rebounding to $0.997, ADA dropped further to $0.869, testing critical support near the 50-day SMA.
Key Support Levels and Resistance Challenges Following Plomin Hard Fork and Governance Evolution
Failure to hold the current support could lead to steeper declines toward $0.69 or even $0.50. Conversely, a recovery might aim to breach the $1 mark, providing a psychological boost. Analysts are closely monitoring whether ADA can stabilize and reclaim momentum amid broader market volatility.
Cardano’s ecosystem is advancing with the Plomin hard fork, scheduled for potential implementation in January 2025. This upgrade will finalize Cardano’s on-chain governance features, as outlined in CIP-1694.
In addition, a recent CNF update highlighted the launch of the Chang hard fork, which shifted Cardano toward decentralized governance. A tweet from Intersect, a key ecosystem player, announced governance actions submitted for SPO and ICC ratification, with enactment dates estimated between January 4 and 29.

This marks a pivotal moment for Cardano, transitioning from its bootstrap governance phase to a community-led structure under a ratified constitution. These developments lay a strong foundation for long-term growth.
As ADA’s price navigates challenging terrain, its ecosystem advancements, historical price patterns, and technical upgrades make it a project to watch.
